We’re excited to announce the 3rd Annual Holiday Tree Lighting Event! Save the date and join us for an evening of festive fun and community cheer. 

• Date: December 4, 2025
• Location: Minnetrista City Hall
• Time: 5pm-7pm 

Last year’s event was amazing, but this year’s is going to be even better! More information to come about what to expect for this year. We hope you can make it! 

Parking

There will be event parking at Westonka Recreational Association Park (WRA) located at 7201 County Road 110 West. Shuttles will be running every 10-15 minutes to pick up and drop off residents throughout the event. The first bus picks up at 4:30p.m. and the last bus will drop off at 8:00p.m. Please be mindful of the parking attendants as they guide you to your parking space! 

What to expect:

• Fireworks Show
• Wine and beer tent sponsored by the Northwest Tonka Lion's Club
• Apple cider and hot cocoa sponsored by Everly Farms
• Toys for Tots
• Visit from Santa Claus
• Decorated Fire Department Trucks
• Food (for purchase) from Mackenthun's Minnetrista
• Fire Troughs

Timeline for Event:

• 4:30pm                  First shuttle pick up at WRA park (shuttles will run every 10-15 minutes)
• 5:00pm                  Event starts
• 5:30pm                  Fire Trucks and Santa Arrive
• 5:45pm                  Tree Lighting Ceremony
• 6:00pm                  Visits with Santa
• 6:30pm                  Fireworks Show
• 7:00pm                  Event ends
• 8:00pm                  Last shuttle pick up at WRA park
